I'm so glad we drove the 1200 km between Melbourne and Sydney. Otherwise we would have missed these perfectly informative signs along the way. Not content to just allow a driver to guess which 'wildlife' might be crossing (as signs in The States do), the Aussies have perfected the
art of sign specificity.
Kangaroo, potentially for a long time
Wombat, No. 1
Wombat, No. 2
Koala, gettin' down
Tasmanian Devli, or Brush-tailed Possum (perhaps this one is still in progress)
Bristle Bird, presumably flightless
Common Duck, with babes in tow
