Moving from one country to another is a very exciting experience. I now sit at the airport waiting for our first flight to take us to Malaysia and can't quite believe this is real.
But before all the fun and adventure can begin, a whole helluva lot of packing and cleaning and storing and more packing have to occur. We just spent the last 5 days doing just that. My fingers ache, my skin is raw, my back has twisted in directions that yoga practice has never taken me. I have burned through list after list of 'to dos' as we remembered more and more things to do...cancel the phone contract? check. clean out the fridge? check. eradicate dust bunnies lurking in the far reaches of the closet? check.
And now we are now armed with 4 suitcases (just a hair under 50 lb each) and 2 carry-ons, as well as a small air freight shipment that will meet us in Penang. Woo-hoo, Penang!
